Hey, there’s going to be a big bang! Ola Gen 3 Scooters are going to be launched tomorrow on 31 January 2025, and the updates that are coming are amazing.
What’s special about it? The S1 is already performing well!
Absolutely, but the new platform of Gen 3 will be lighter, more powerful, and more efficient than before. In this, the company has included a new battery, motor, and integrated control unit (MCU).
What new will you get in this Ola Gen 3 Scooter?
New ‘Bharat Cells’ Battery: Till now Ola scooters used to have 2170 cells, but Gen 3 scooters will have new ‘Bharat Cells’, which will store more energy and give longer range.
Shock Resistance and Safety: The Gen 3 battery will now be a part of the scooter’s structure, increasing its strength and shock resistance.
New Motor Technology: Ola Electric is now using a motor with magnetized electrical coils, which will increase thermal efficiency, the motor will not heat up quickly and the power output will be tremendous.
Less wiring, more efficiency: The Integrated Control Unit (MCU) has now been merged with the battery, motor, and electronics. This will make the scooter lighter and the performance even smoother.
What will be the models and prices?
Ola Gen 3 Scooters will not only include S1, but also two new models – S2 and S3!
Ola S2 – Will be available in three variants: City, Tourer, and Sports
Ola S3 – It will come in Maxi-Scooter style and will be available in Grand Adventure and Grand Tourer variants.

Ola S1 X 2kWh – ₹79,999
Ola S1 3kWh – ₹1.29 lakh
Ola S1 4kWh – ₹1.50 lakh
Ola S1 Pro – ₹1.59 lakh
When will the Gen 3 scooters be seen in India?
The launch will take place on January 31, 2025, but the first Gen 3 scooter could hit Indian roads by March 2025. Ola Electric may make more electric scooters on this platform in the future.
Will ADAS also be available?
Not yet, but Ola Electric Gen 3 scooters have been designed for ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System). This means that smart safety features can also be added to it in the future.
Should I take it or not?
If you want long range, powerful motor, and advanced technology, then Ola Gen 3 Scooter can be a strong option. But yes, it is also important to keep in mind Ola’s service and charging infrastructure.
